A teacher demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the legal frameworks and policies that provide the foundations for the Alberta education system.
Always recognizing that the professional practice of a teacher is bound by standards of conduct expected of a caring, knowledgeable and reasonable adult entrusted with the custody, care or education of students is imperative, and I am committed to following those policies for the length of my career. Understanding what these frameworks and policies were quite the undertaking in my EDUC 525 class, and I feel that the paper that my group created exemplifies my understandings of the law and the role that teachers play within the greater society.
