In order for kids to learn they must first feel that they are safe enough to fail and then gain knowledge from those mistakes.

I’m passionate about education. I don’t believe that there is any “right” way for kids to learn, but I do know that it needs to be inclusive, collaborative, and engaging. We need educators who trust in the process and create environments (both home and school) that allow kids to take big risks to answer essential questions about the world around them.

My dream is to see an education system that allows for collaboration between educators, parents, and the students who are learning. A system that allows for multiple avenues of evidence of learning, and supports the student to grow in whichever way they may need. I want to see a system that values education that happens outside of the classroom, as much as that that may happen traditionally.

Let’s start this conversation and see where it goes!
